The short answer
All three can give you a fast, good looking site. The difference is in who edits it later, how much control you need, and what you pay every month.
Pick the platform for the person who will update the site, not for the person who builds it.
Webflow
Webflow is a visual builder with a strong CMS. It suits business sites, portfolios and blogs where the design matters and the team edits texts and collections themselves.
- Pixel accurate design and smooth animations.
- CMS for cases, blog posts and team pages.
- Hosting included in the site plan.
If this sounds like your case, see how I work on Webflow development.
Framer
Framer is great for fast marketing sites and landing pages. Editing feels like working in a design tool, which is pleasant for designers and small teams.
When Framer is the better pick
You need a launch page this week, the structure is simple, and you change texts often. More about Framer websites.
WordPress
WordPress runs a large share of the web and gives you full control over hosting and plugins. It suits content heavy sites and stores, if someone keeps it updated.
// A typical WordPress upkeep list
1. Update core, theme and plugins
2. Check backups
3. Review security logs
Side by side
| Webflow | Framer | WordPress | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Editing | Visual editor and CMS | Visual, like a design tool | Block editor and plugins |
| Speed | Fast out of the box | Fast out of the box | Depends on theme and plugins |
| Monthly cost | Site plan | Site plan | Hosting only |
| Upkeep | Almost none | Almost none | Regular updates |
How to choose
Write down who will edit the site, how often, and what must be on it in a year. If you are not sure, send me those three answers and I’ll suggest a platform, along with a free first screen design.
Not sure which option fits?
Send me a couple of lines about your business. I'll suggest the right approach and design the first screen for free.
