Why prices differ so much

Ask five people how much a website costs and you’ll hear five different numbers. The reason is simple: “a website” can mean a one page landing or a store with a hundred products. Before comparing quotes, compare what is inside them.

What you actually pay for

Every site is made of the same parts, whoever builds it:

• Design: the structure and look of every page, for desktop and mobile.
• Development: turning the design into a working site on a platform or in code.
• Content: texts, photos and translations. Often forgotten, often the slowest part.
• Setup: domain, forms, analytics, basic SEO.
• Running costs: the platform plan or hosting, paid every month or year.

How I count: per block

I price per block. A block is one section or screen of the site: a hero, a services grid, a reviews row, a form.

A typical landing page has 6 to 10 blocks. So a turnkey landing usually lands between 240 € and 400 €, and you know the number before any work starts.

You see the price before you pay, and you see the first screen design before you decide.

Where the price can grow

• More pages and unique layouts. Repeating blocks are cheaper than new ones.
• Integrations. CRM, booking systems, payments or custom calculators add work.
• Languages. Each language version needs translated texts and a check of the layout.
• Content. If texts and photos are not ready, writing and shooting take time.

How to keep the budget predictable
